5 Cool Ideas

Are your print catalogs not getting picked up? There are plenty of things that can go wrong in catalog printing that could spell failure to your print catalogs. However, in most cases, it is your concept design and message that has people ignoring the catalogs. If you want to prevent this from happening again, here are five cool ideas that should increase people interest in your catalogs.

1. Use good looking models.

Some people, especially small businesses ignore the advantage of a good looking model in catalogs. They think it is an outrageous expense that is not really necessary. The fact of the matter is models attract people, and in catalogs that is a prime advantage. You do not even need to hire a professional model. Just ask a good looking family member, relative or friend to pose for you and you should have a nice affordable and hopefully willing model. They will be glad of the exposure, while your color catalogs might get that human element that should interest people.

2. Use dogs, cats and other cute animals.

If models are hard to find, then the next best things are pets. Dogs, cats and other cute animals always interest people. Using their cuteness factor to your advantage in catalog printing is a great idea. You can hook on to that interest and slide in your products with them in a subtle way. Hopefully, you can find a nice theme or reason to get those pets with your products

3. Adopt an exotic theme.

Exotic themes can also get your color catalogs picked up. There is nothing like an unusual theme to raise people interest on what a catalog is all about. Try adopting foreign themes like Chinese, Japanese or even Indian designs to peak the interest of people. You might also want to try other genres like fantasy or science fiction elements for a more creative touch. Exotic themes usually engage people's imaginations making them a great tool to get people to pay attention.

4. Make things interactive.

Interactivity of course is one direct way for people to pick up your catalogs. Placing a puzzle or image game in your cover can usually cause people to stop and think about them in your catalog cover. In most cases, they will enjoy the game while inadvertently already picking up your color catalog. Once they get hooked with the game and finish or solve it, they should then wonder and probably read the whole color catalog.

5. Make things mysterious.

Mystery also sells a catalog. By placing mysterious messages or mysterious images in your catalog, you can make people wonder at the contents of that catalog. Since most people want to know what is unknown, they will be tempted to pick up the catalog. You can use this of course to your advantage, especially if you want to build anticipation with your new products and services.

So what are you waiting for? Use these ideas now and get your color catalogs picked up! You will never regret using these suggestions.
